The Muriel and Ada Hole Kids with Cancer Society Chair in Pediatric Oncology
This research chair will achieve important goals for the Northern Alberta Children’s Cancer Program. The inaugural chair, a physician-scientist, is focusing specifically on pediatric cancer research by exploring the theme that some childhood cancers have their origin as disorders of development. The Chair in Pediatric Oncology will significantly boost our ability to conduct pioneering research to increase our understanding of the nature of childhood cancer, develop novel therapies, improve outcomes and lessen the long-term effects of cancer and/or its treatment.
Annual Research Support
In recognition of the need to improve the outcome of children with cancer both today and for the future, funds are available to support the research infrastructure. This includes purchase of new equipment and supporting innovative research projects.
