| What Parents & Children Say About Us |

What parents and children have to say about the Kids with Cancer Society
The Toker Family: After the shock of our 23 month old daughter Amy's diagnosis with ALL (acute lymphoblastic leukemia) a quote by author Nancy Keene precisely described our predicament. She stated: "Lord, grant me the ability to accept the gravity of the situation, while balancing other aspects of living." The balancing that Keene refers to here is exactly what the Kids With Cancer Society did for our family. With this balance, Amy and our family have not only overcome cancer's presence in our lives, but thrive as a result of the experience. The love and caring that was so generously shown enveloped our family . We can't thank the society enough for all of the support they offered in every way possible.
Anna: "I found out that my brother had cancer when I was in grade 10. That was a difficult time in my life anyway because of the transition of going from Junior High to High School. But, what made it even more difficult was that none of my friends knew what I was going through. When I went to the Kids with Cancer Society camp, I met other kids that were going through the same thing and it was good to be able to share your feelings with people that knew.
Jody: We would be completely lost if it were not for the Kids with Cancer Society. Eric was not able to go to camp the first year that he was in treatment because he was so sick, but he was able to go this last September and it made him so happy and it gave him strength. His battle with cancer has been a long and rigorous struggle; words cannot describe what it means to see him that happy. Raising money for the Kids with Cancer Society will ensure that programs like the family camp will be there. Also, weve been told that Eric is running out of options for treatment for his type of cancer I want to do my part to make sure there is continued financial support for research, stated Erics mom, Jody.
