Tour of Hope 2019
Get ready to ride June 8-15
What is the Tour of Hope?
A group of cyclists raise funds and awareness for the Society by completing a challenging long distance cycling adventure through northern Alberta. 100% of the funds raised directly support Northern Alberta families affected by childhood cancer.
How did the Tour of Hope start?
In 2002, when Leo was about to embark on his final treatments for childhood cancer, his parents Cathie and Barry wanted to help their child and others like him. Their efforts, hard work, dedication and love for their child led to the creation of the Ride of Hope (now known as the Tour of Hope). Tour of Hope has become one of the major fundraising events for the Kids with Cancer Society. To date the ride has raised over $3,950,414 million to support children with cancer and their families.
Be part of the 17th Annual Tour of Hope team. Good friends, food and fantastic scenery will fuel your cycling passion and support for children with cancer and their families. This amazing 7-day cycling adventure kicks-off in Grande Prairie with a 100 KM loop including local community cyclists. We then head east to Valleyview, High Prairie, Slave Lake, Swan Hills, Westlock and home to Edmonton.
This Grande Tour of Hope will engage each of the northern communities as we cycle through bringing awareness to the programs and services offered by the Kids with Cancer Society.
